Matthew has worked in recruitment for 25 years and, after moving into education recruitment, has worked for some of the largest agencies in the UK.
As a parent himself, Matthew takes education recruitment very seriously. He knows that all schools want to find talented teachers who are right for them, and says the secret of being a great recruiter is understanding what that school needs, and being able to think creatively about how to find those people. His approach is the same for candidates in that he sees it as our job to help them find the perfect role to match their skills, experience and ability.

Andrew Anastasiou, Managing Director
When Andrew completed his PGCE, not even he could have predicted the career path that followed. These days, he applies his encyclopaedic education expertise, passion and enthusiasm in Hourglass and the three other public sector recruitment businesses which make up the PPR Group.
Since he left the classroom, Andrew has developed his career in recruitment. He has carried out a variety of roles, including four appointments as a managing director in the education, healthcare, social care and international markets.

Sarah is a highly experienced recruiter who has been working in education and alongside Hourglass for longer than she cares to remember. Having worked as a specialist education, and executive search consultant in the south east of England, Sarah brings a wide range of experience to each and every assignment.
Coming from a family of teachers, it is no surprise that Sarah is passionate about education and is committed to adding value to her client schools by helping them build the strongest senior leadership teams possible.
Sarah particularly enjoys getting to know clients and candidates in order to make the right match for both parties. By taking into account the particular challenges each school is facing, she tailors the search and focuses on finding the senior leaders they need.
